Does everyone get athletes foot?
Had a tour in the Grand Mosque (Islamic temple) yesterday and something really buds me...
sorry, its my 'occupational problem,' you know, I am quite conscious with feet matters...
It is their custom that all islamic people have to pray 5 times a day, and men are required to pray at the temple. Before entering the temple one has to take the shoes off, wash the eyes, nose, face, hands, feet, and hair (in this very order, and hair is considered the 'dirtiest'). They then line up in the central hall and all face the same direction, they then bow several times all the way down such that their forehead and nose touch the ground.
When tourists entering the temple, they would take off their shoes and by-pass the washing steps.
Given that the holy water can wash out all the athletic fungus on the islamic men, I sure some tourists' feet would have bad skin, stepping all around the temple, and ... aiya... can't imagine the rest...
I cannot help myself and asked the tour guide the cleaniness concern with tourists, and his answer is,
'yes we are having some problem, and some islamics did complaint about this before,
and we will find a solution to this in the future!'
May be I should set up something like 'healthy feet skin clinic' outside the temple... would make some big bucks...haha

Growing Mushroom in Rx
After being away for a month, there are lots of happenings in the gov hosp setting:
mushroom fungi found in oral medications;
expired cough syrup dispensed to patients;
unmatch volumn in saline bottles;
generic medications not being effective...
its okay, these are not fatal...
in fact, mushroom is everywhere anyways... commonly in your feet and webspaces and toenails too...

Laugh of the day--
On a referral letter it says,
" PMH: HTN, Stable BP, on aspirin
good constipation
Reason: bilateral foot callosity "
what does good constipation have to do with callosities?
and,...how can constipation be good? =P
